Standard Septic Systems

The primary objective of proper wastewater disposal is to reduce and/or eliminate potential contamination of groundwater, surface water, the environment, thus protecting the health of the community. All projects that use onsite wastewater disposal require Land Use review, permitting, inspection, and monitoring. The Land Use Program staff review submitted work plans, review historical records, respond to citizen complaints of failing onsite wastewater treatment systems, and perform site inspections.
