Integrated Watershed Restoration Program (IWRP)

The Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County, California Coastal Conservancy, County of Santa Cruz, and the Coastal Watershed Council created the Integrated Watershed Restoration Program (IWRP) in 2004. IWRP is a voluntary, multi-agency program to promote watershed conservation work in Santa Cruz County. Through IWRP, the County of Santa Cruz received funding to design and permit nine fish passage projects and four sediment reduction projects under the IWRP Phase I. In addition, Public Works has received implementation funding for six fish passage projects and additional road-related sediment control projects through IWRP Phase II with funding through the State Water Resources Control Board.
